Are you interested in experience a night of multicultural and multilingual poetry with Penn State students and faculty from all different backgrounds and research fields? Then please join us for Poetry Without Borders on March 21st, 6-7pm in Foster Auditorium (Paterno Library). Now in its 6th year, PwB is a poetry reading forum that brings together faculty and students from across the university to expose the audience to the power of poetry from different languages and cultures. The 2018 theme is "Echoes of '68: Protest, Resistance, and Empowerment", an inspiration for the readers to use poems that commemorate the 1968 student protests and the impact they have had on political and social movements up to the present day. We are also looking for readers who can contribute poems from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Please choose a poem in any language other than English. Let that poem be inspired by the themes of protest, resistance, and empowerment.

Readings Limited to 2-3 minutes. Please send two electronic copies of the poem (one original and one English translation) by March 12, 2018 to poetrywithoutborders.psu@gmail.com

the event will take place on March 21, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Foster Auditorium followed by a reception in the Mann Assembly Room (Paterno Library).
