Research Interests:
Professor Reed's research focuses on two areas of theoretical linguistics: syntax and semantics, with a particular interest in representations of the interface between these two modules in terms of the generative and model-theoretic frameworks. She has done extensive work on the syntax and semantics of modal verbs, causative constructions, affected datives, raising constructions, ergatives, and middles, among others.
